Amy and Patrick met very briefly through Amy's older sister but fate would have it they would meet again years later at the Woodford Folk Festival. Squashed in the back seat of a very small car with windows down and music blaring, Amy and Patrick endured an awkward 1-and-a-half-hour car ride to the festival. Patrick tried to strike up a conversation but all Amy could do is smile and nod as his voice was drained out by all the noise. Once at the festival, Patrick did all that he could to spend as time as possible with Amy and over the few days they were there, they formed a beautiful bond that led to their first kiss at midnight on New Years. Their love continued to grow and on November 21st, 2021, Patrick proposed to Amy at Stradbroke Island and of course, she said the biggest YES of her life! After postponing due to Covid, Tahlia and Robert were stoked to finally say I do on a beautiful country property in Laceys Creek.
